Hess Skou Quartet

The debut album by this young Copenhagen quartet. The band plays strong melodies, jazz standards and original compositions which work well with their particular sound and inspired interpretation, swinging without losing sight of the lyrical voice on the numbers they play. The music is acoustic and unforced in this extension of the classic piano trio taking inspiration from others such as: Paul Bley, Bill Evans Herbie Hancock and Ahmad Jamal.
